State Senator Mary Lazich (R-New Berlin) represents parts of four counties: Milwaukee, Waukesha, Racine, and Walworth. Her Senate District 28 includes New Berlin, Franklin, Greendale, Hales Corners, Muskego, Waterford, Big Bend, the town of Vernon and parts of Greenfield, East Troy, and Mukwonago. I-94 NORTH-SOUTH update: August 19

Here is an alert from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (DOT) for the I-94 NORTH-SOUTH freeway project:

Construction activities have scheduled to close I-894/43 EB at Loomis Rd on Wednesday, August 19th from 10 pm to 4:30 am.  Contractors will be removing girders on the 27th St bridge over I-894/43 EB.  Listed below are all associated closures scheduled for Wednesday night.

- I-894/43 EB at Loomis Rd 10 pm - 4:30 am

- I-894/43 EB to I-94 EAST (SB) Freeway Ramp in Mitchell Interchange 10 pm - 4:30 am

- I-894/43 EB to I-43/94 NB Freeway Ramp in Mitchell Interchange 10 pm - 4:30 am

- Loomis Rd entrance ramp to I-894/43 EB 9:30 pm - 5:00 am

- 27th St NB entrance ramp to I-894/43 EB 9:30 pm - 5:00 am

 

Alternate Routes for I-894/43 EB traffic listed below:

 

- Traffic headed to I-94 EAST (SB) should exit I-894/43 EB at Loomis Rd.

Turn right at the end of the ramp to Layton Ave.  Turn left on Layton Ave to 20th St.  Turn right on 20th St to the I-94 EAST (SB) entrance ramp.

 

- Traffic headed to I-94/43 NB should exit I-894/43 EB at Loomis Rd.

Turn right at the end of the ramp to Layton Ave.  Turn left on Layton Ave to the I-94/43 NB entrance ramp.

 

All closures are weather-dependent and subject to change.
