Chrissy Backhaus and David Peters are planning an Aug. 11, 2012, wedding at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waukesha.
Parents of the couple are Eric and Jane Backhaus of Waukesha and Brad and Robin Peters of New Berlin.
The bride-to-be is attending the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, where she is studying education.
The future groom is also attending UW-Whitewater, where he is studying business management.
The two became engaged May 4, 2011, in Whitewater.
