Kelly Ann Carlson and Matthew John Flynn of Madison were married Aug. 25, 2012, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Madison.
Parents of the bride are Thomas and Deborah Carlson of Edwardsville, Ill., formerly of Muskego. The groom's parents are Marcia Flynn Dirksen and the late John Flynn of Pecatonica, Ill.
The Rev. Jerry Walsh officiated the 2 p.m. ceremony, which was followed by a reception at The Madison Club.
The bride wore a silk, satin and lace Paloma Blanca gown with buttons down the back from her mother's wedding gown.
Jessica Muth of Franklin, friend of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Sara Braun of Madison, Sara Mesarchik of Minneapolis, Sarah Zangerle of Milwaukee and Andrea Zangerle of Waukesha. Junior bridesmaids were Ellie Thang and Carly Thang of Maple Grove, Minn.
Des Carroll of Sarasota, Fla., cousin of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Jeremy Earp of Waunakee, Ryan Zikeli and John Carlson of Madison, and Mike Carroll of Lockport, Ill. Junior groomsman was Maurice Humboldt of Madison.
The bride, a 2002 graduate of Muskego High School, attended the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. She is a retention executive with Humana Insurance in Middleton.
The groom is a graduate of Pecatonica High School and the University of Iowa. He is an insurance agent with Krell Insurance in Verona.
The couple planned an 11-day honeymoon in Spain and Italy.
