Julia Katharine Brzostowicz and Mark Andrew Nilsen of Milwaukee were married in an outdoor ceremony, overlooking the harbor of Lake Geneva on Aug. 2, 2013.
The Rev. Gregory Zimmerman officiated the afternoon ceremony at The Abbey Resort, Fontana.
Parents of the bride are Conrad Brzostowicz and Cindy Crebbin of Muskego, and the groom's parents are Jon and Jodi Nilsen of Wauwatosa.
The maid of honor was Nicole Alexandra Brzostowicz of Scottsdale, Ariz., sister of the bride, and bridesmaids were: bride's sister Caroline Crebbin Gornick of Volo, Ill., Laura Ellen Brzostowicz of Muskego, and twin sisters of the groom Haley Marie Nilsen and Sarah Ann Nilsen of Wauwatosa.
The bestman was Jake Nilsen of Wauwatosa, brother of the groom, and the groomsmen were: Dan Matysiak, Jon Davis, Paul Aldinger and David Burda. The junior groomsman was Charlie Szohr of Wauwatosa, cousin of the groom.
The flower girl was Kaylee Rose Martin, the bride's niece. Ring bearer was Tucker James Gornick, nephew of the bride and godson of the groom.
Ushers included Tom Gornick, brother-in-law of the bride and Jeff Korosec and Mike Szohr, uncles of the groom.
The bride wore a floor length, trumpet style lace gown with a sweetheart neckline and a sheer corset waist. Her dress was accented with a chapel length veil and she wore a lavaliere, which belonged to her great grandmother, Emma Micek.
Her five bridesmaids wore short spearmint green dresses in tulle, also with sweetheart necklaces, accented with soft pink jewelry.
The ceremony was followed by a cocktail hour on the patio with fire pits overlooking Lake Geneva, followed by a reception with dinner and dancing in The Abbey's wedding tent.
The bride earned her bachelor's degree in psychology at Marquette University and is a development director for the Wisconsin Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
The groom graduated from the Milwaukee Firefighters Academy in 2009 and is a firefighter with Engine 12 in Milwaukee.
The newlyweds plan a January honeymoon in Hawaii and reside in Milwaukee.
