Wanda J. Schaefer
Wanda J. Schaefer (nee Biesiada), formerly of Muskego and Milwaukee, died June 2, 2009.
She was born in Milwaukee on May 6, 1915, and worked for many years in Milwaukee. She married Robert in 1936. In 1956, they had moved to Muskego.
She was proud of her family and her time as a Girl Scout leader and member of Bethany and Heritage Presbyterian churches. Her passions were hunting, fishing, biking and swimming. In later years, she enjoyed her friends and housemates at Autumn Villa. Most recently, she was a resident at Mt. Carmel.
She is survived by her children, Donna (the late Bob) Watier and Joan (Bill Parkis); grandchild, Andre' (Jennifer); great-grandchildren, Brittany and Brandon Watier; sisters, Alice (the late Bill) Page and Delores (the late Eddie) Jurkowski; brother-in-law, Donald Schaefer; good friend, Jeannine Baver; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandchild, Pierre (Kris); parents, Julia and John Biesiada; and siblings, Blanche, Jean and Casimir.
Service will be Saturday, June 13, at Krause Funeral Home, New Berlin. Visitation will be from 9 to 11:15 a.m., with the service at 11:30 a.m.
Memorials are suggested to Heritage Presbyterian Church or to Wanda's Bench Fund for a memorial bench to be placed on Idle Isle, at Little Muskego Lake, a place she loved so much. Mail to 119 S. Pine Ave., Arlington Heights, IL 60005.
