Kat Kopit and Bryan Nebel of Brooklyn, N.Y., were married June 16, 2012, at Judson Memorial Church on Washington Square Park in Greenwich Village in New York City.

Parents of the bride are Leslie Garis and Arthur Kopit of New York City. The groom's parents are Joan and Paul Nebel of Muskego.

Ben Kopit, brother of the bride, officiated the 6 p.m. ceremony, which was followed by a reception at Housing Works Bookstore in SoHo in New York City, where all the proceeds benefit the homeless living with HIV/AIDS.

Nicole Concepción of San Francisco, Calif., college friend of the bride, was maid of honor.

Jacob Kuhnle of Brooklyn, longtime friend of the groom, was best man.

Ushers were Neeraj Mehta of Casper, Wyo., and Alex Kopit of New York City.

Noah Chudada and Jeremiah Chudada of Milwaukee, nephews of the groom, were flower boy and ring bearer. Jeremiah carried the rings in an "Uncle Wiggly" book written by Howard R. Garis, great-grandfather of the bride.

The bride earned her degree in English from Wesleyan University in Middletown, Conn. She is a book editor with Abrams Publishing in New York.

The groom, a graduate of Muskego High School, is pursuing his music degree at the College of Staten Island in New York. He is a songwriter and guitarist with a band that performs in New York City. The group's debut album was released in July.

The couple planned a two-week honeymoon in Savannah, Ga., Charleston, S.C., St. Augustine, Fla., and New Orleans, La.
