10 municipalities plus MMSD report sewer overflows

Muskego - The city is abandoning a proposal to bring back a beach to an area of Little Muskego Lake that once housed the Muskego Beach/DandiLion Park amusement park, create a downtown area there and spur commercial development in the vicinity.(5)
Waukesha County exec gives upbeat appraisal
Waukesha - Waukesha County Executive Dan Vrakas delivered an upbeat state-of-the-county speech to County Board members Wednesday night, praising such efforts as the county's alcohol treatment court, its recent swine-flu clinics, its business climate and several county budget-saving measures.(6)
Waukesha County OKs referendum on protecting transportation funds
Waukesha - The Waukesha County Board Wednesday unanimously approved an advisory referendum Nov. 2 that seeks to stop legislative transfers from the state transportation fund for other general budget purposes.(8)
'Slow-no wake' rules imposed on Muskego lakes
Muskego - The city of Muskego on Wednesday morning imposed an emergency "slow-no wake" rule for watercraft on Little Muskego Lake, Lake Denoon and Big Muskego Lake, including Bass Bay, because high water levels due to recent storms.(10)
