Police Report: Feb. 19
ROBBERY
1A man attempted to rob a 41-year-old Big Bend woman in front of Associated Bank, W17655 Janesville Road, about 9:15 a.m. Feb. 8. The woman tried to enter the bank to use the TYME machine, but the bank was not open. Returning to her car, a man approached her and grabbed her arm. "I need money," the man said to her. At that moment another car entered the parking lot, and the man hurriedly walked off. The woman did not report the incident to police until the next day. She described the man as 40- to 50-years-old, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and about 130 pounds.
THEFT
2Three teens were cited for theft after taking a bottle of whiskey and a four-pack of wine from Jetz, W15461 Janesville Road, about 3 p.m. Feb. 8. Police were later called to a home in the S6500 block of Hardtke Drive on the report of an underage drinking party. Two 14-year-old boys, one from Muskego and one from Waterford, and a 17-year-old Muskego girl were given citations. The alcohol was valued at a total of $24.
3Police are investigating a suspect in the theft of gasoline from Kwik Trip, W18884 Janesville Road, about noon Feb. 10. A man in a sport utility vehicle drove away without paying for $48 in gas.
DRUNKEN DRIVING
4A 25-year-old Chadwood, Ohio, man was cited for drunken driving after he was stopped by police in the W18200 block of Janesville Road about 2 a.m. Feb. 8. Police stopped him for erratic driving. He refused a breath test. A passenger in his car, a 26-year-old Columbus, Ohio, man, was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.
5A 34-year-old Milwaukee man faces drunken-driving charges after he was stopped in the S7200 block of Tess Corners Drive about 2 a.m. Feb. 10. He was stopped for erratic driving. He had two previous drunken-driving convictions; blood was drawn as evidence in his case. He also was cited for carrying a concealed weapon and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police found a wooden bat under the front seat and a plastic tube for snorting drugs in the car.
6A 25-year-old Mukwonago man faces drunken-driving charges after he was stopped by police in the S6600 block of Hillendale Drive about 12 a.m. Feb. 15. Police received a report of his reckless driving from another motorist. The man had no alcohol in his system but appeared heavily sedated. He was taken to Waukesha Memorial Hospital where tests showed he had prescription drugs, cocaine and marijuana in his system. The man was admitted to the hospital after his condition became worse. He had a previous drunken-driving conviction.
ACCIDENTS
7Two people suffered minor injuries in a crash in the S8500 block of Durham Drive about 9:45 p.m. Feb. 7. The driver of one car, an 18-year-old Brookfield man, was passing a vehicle driven by a 16-year-old Brookfield boy as the boy made a left turn. The man's car struck the boy's car, left the road and struck a utility pole and a pickup truck that was for sale on the lawn of a home. The man and a passenger in his car, a 19-year-old Brookfield woman, were injured, but were not transported to a hospital. The man was cited for imprudent speed.
OTHER
8Police used a Taser on a 17-year-old Muskego boy after he struggled with police near his home in the 13600 block of Tess Corners Drive about 9:30 a.m. Feb. 14. Police were called on the report of an uncontrollable juvenile. The boy had been arguing with his mother. A struggle ensued, and an officer used the Taser to subdue him. The boy was cited for resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
