• A wedding ring valued at $1,400 was reported taken from a residence in the West 17500 block of Haven Drive on Aug. 23. A window was pried open to gain entrance.

• A chainsaw valued at $150 was reported taken from a garden shed in the South 9800 block of Racine Avenue on Aug. 31. The shed was padlocked, but the lock was left open.

• Compact discs valued at $230 were reported taken out of a car parked in the garage in the West 18400 block of Lions Park Drive on Aug. 30. The vehicle had more than $2,000 in damages due to scratch marks between the sunroof and the windshield.

THEFT

• A 14-carat gold ring valued at $1,100, a digital media player and $50 in cash were reported taken out of a vehicle in the South 7700 block of Baylane Drive on Aug. 19.

• An outdoor tiki bar, components to a chain-link fence, and several pieces of lawn furniture with a total value of more than $2,300 were reported taken from Dinger's Batting Cages, S8224 Mercury Dr., sometime between Aug. 26 and Sept. 4.

• A truck tailgate valued at $400 was reported taken from a vehicle parked at Durham Hill Auto, W12578 Loomis Dr., sometime between Aug. 29-31.

• A 50-year-old Muskego woman was reportedly the victim of identity theft after being contacted by Associated Bank for suspicious account activity Sept. 1. Two separate withdrawals for $871 and $658 were attempted through Western Union just minutes apart, but were denied because they exceeded the first-time user limit for the service. A $39.95 charge through freecreditreport.com was made to the account, with the IP address traced back to an address in Naples, Fla. Police are still investigating.

ASSAULT

• A 30-year-old New Berlin man was kicked in the face following an altercation in the parking lot of the Gateway Entertainment Center, W19441 Tans Dr., at 2:16 a.m. Aug. 30. The 30-year-old man was leaving with four friends when another group of patrons, who had been kicked out of the bar earlier, engaged in an argument. The arguing turned physical, and the friends witnessed the 30-year-old get kicked in the face, which chipped a tooth and caused him to bleed. The suspects then fled in a silver vehicle. Police have identified two 22-year-old Muskego men as the suspects, and are still investigating.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

• A 47-year-old Wind Lake man was arrested for drunken driving near State Highway 36 and US Highway 45 at 12:24 a.m. Sept. 5 following a traffic stop. The man had an open bottle of vodka in the vehicle and had a blood-alcohol content of 0.27.

• A 27-year-old Waukegan, Ill., man was arrested for his second drunken-driving offense near Hwy. 45 and Union Church Drive at 2:57 a.m. Sept 6. He had a BAC of 0.14. An 18-year-old male passenger, also from Waukegan, blew a 0.05 and was cited for underage consumption.

• A 31-year-old West Allis woman was arrested for her third drunken-driving offense near highways 36 and 45 at 2:56 a.m. Sept 12. She was going nearly 20 mph under the speed limit and refused to submit to a blood test.

VANDALISM

• A 29-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for destroying five urinal deodorizers at his place of work at Engineering Solutions, S8253 Racine Ave., on Sept. 7. The man was reportedly upset that he did not receive a promotion and also allegedly wrote a vulgar message to his boss on the bathroom wall. A nail was also driven into his boss's car tire, but the 29-year-old denies he did that.

• A vehicle was scratched in the South 7800 block of Westwood Drive overnight on Sept. 9-10, resulting in $500 of damage.

OTHER

• A 19-year-old Muskego man was arrested for disorderly conduct after posting the address, phone number and name of an 18-year-old Muskego man in an ad for a free gaming system. The 18-year-old received several calls due to the unauthorized ad. The 19-year-old later stated in an additional ad that the free system post was a scam, and to call the 18-year-old if anyone wanted to "have a talk with him."
