Police Report: Sept. 28

BURGLARY

• A door jam and lock valued at $350 were damaged in an attempted burglary at Ludwig's Cabinet Shop on W. 16440 Muskego Dam Drive on Sept. 23. The door was pried open, triggering the alarm, but nothing was reported taken.

• Two rifles, two shotguns, two bows and an electric guitar with a combined value of $3,500 were reported taken from a residence in the S10900 block of Crowbar Drive on Sept. 25. Two saws valued at $1,200 were also taken from the garage at the same location.

THEFT

• A 39-year-old Muskego man reported an identity theft after a $6,300 ring was purchased with a Kay Jewelers credit card opened in his name Aug. 18. The account was opened at the Southridge Mall Kay Jewelers and the ring was purchased at another Kay's in Springfield, Ill.

• Three unauthorized airline tickets from Toronto to Los Angeles with a total value of $867 were unlawfully purchased with the checking account information of a 37-year-old Muskego man Aug. 29. The transactions were made through Expedia.com. Police are investigating.

• A 16-year-old Muskego boy reported a digital media device valued at $300 taken from Muskego High School, S8750 Racine Ave., on Sept 18. He claims to have lent the device to a 17-year-old boy, who later told him another boy stole it from him. The 17-year-old denied ever having been given the device and said the story was made up.

• Three unauthorized transactions totaling $75 were made to the checking account of a 41-year-old Muskego woman through the Internet phone company on Sept. 21. The woman claims to have never heard of the company. Police are investigating.

• A range bag featuring several magazines and rounds of handgun ammunition valued at more than $600 was reported taken from a vehicle in the S7600 block of Indian Trail on Sept. 22.

DRUG POSSESSION

• A suspicious package containing 116 grams of marijuana was found near Janesville and Moorland roads Sept. 19. A 42-year-old Muskego man came upon the package while going to work and reported it to police.

• A 30-year-old Wauwatosa woman was arrested for drug possession and drunken driving near Woods Road and Jean Drive at 1:27 a.m. Sept. 22. Following a traffic stop, 4.1 grams of marijuana and two pipes were found in her vehicle. In addition, she had a blood-alcohol content of 0.17.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

• A 30-year-old Greenfield woman was arrested for her second drunken-driving offense near College Avenue and Janesville Road at 2:20 a.m. Sept. 22. She had a BAC of 0.18.

• A 25-year-old Muskego man was arrested for drunken driving near Janesville Road and Racine Avenue following a traffic stop at 1:32 a.m. Sept. 24. He had a BAC of 0.08.

• A 51-year-old Muskego man was arrested for drunken driving near Martin and Southern drives at 7:50 p.m. Sept. 24. Police pulled him over for a broken taillight and gave him a sobriety test upon smelling alcohol and seeing that he had urinated on himself. He had a BAC of 0.19.

• A 32-year-old Muskego man was arrested for drunken driving, evading police, resisting an officer and child neglect after running from officers in the S6900 block of Fennimore Lane at 12:15 a.m. Sept. 27. When officers attempted to make a traffic stop, the man refused to pull over and drove for about another mile before fleeing on foot from police. He continued to resist and was Tasered and arrested by police after running through several yards. The man had left his 7-month and 20-month old children at home while out drinking and was cited for child neglect as well. He refused to take a breath test and claims to have run because he was operating with a suspended license.

OTHER

• A 39-year-old Cudahy man and his girlfriend, a 46-year-old Muskego woman were arrested for trespassing after taking an antique sewing machine from the residence of the woman's ex-husband in the W13700 block of Boxhorn Drive on Sept. 13. Both claim ownership of the machine, and the taking of it was not deemed a theft.

• A 19-year-old Muskego woman and an 18-year-old Muskego man were arrested for lewd behavior after being caught performing sexual acts on one another in the W18600 block of Jean Drive on Sept. 23. Police found two 13-year-old girls and a 10-year-old boy watching the acts take place behind a garage.

• A 23-year-old Menominee Falls man, a 22-year-old Waterford man, and a 17-year-old Muskego boy were arrested for disorderly conduct after police found them in a truck with bungee cords connected to a port-a-potty at Denoon Park, S10798 Crowbar Drive, on Sept. 26. The men attached the toilet to the truck and attempted to drag it through the park. However, they only dragged it a few feet before it got stuck on a large landscaping rock. All three were given sobriety tests as well and while none were over the legal limit, the 17-year-old was cited for underage consumption.
