• An $800 engagement ring and a $300 flat-screen TV were taken from a residence in the West 19400 block of Woodland Place on Sept. 25. There was no sign of forced entry, but police believe the perpetrator pushed through an unlocked dog door to gain access to the home.

THEFT

• Two men's bicycles with a total value of $1,000 were taken from a residence in the South 6700 block of High Bluff Drive sometime between Sept. 15 and 19. The bikes were on a rack attached to the rear of a trailer home, and the bumper was removed along with the bicycles.

• A men's bike valued at $200 was taken from McDonald's, S7851 Racine Ave., at about 11 p.m. Sept. 27. The bike was left unlocked near the Dumpster and was missing a few hours later.

He attempted to pack a bag and leave and she stopped him, leading to the physical contact.

The woman met with police concerning an altercation on Sept. 30 in which her husband allegedly struck her in the face after an argument. She didn't press charges but called police again late on Oct. 3 when her husband came home drunk and was looking for her in the house. She became scared and police arrested the man. He refused to take a blood-alcohol test.
