School Board gives itself flexibility on ideal class sizes
A policy to give more flexibility in deciding how many children will be in each classroom was approved Monday night by the Muskego-Norway School Board. The new policy calls for the board and administration to make every effort to maintain reasonable class sizes.
The previous policy called for a model of 25 students per regular classroom to be the norm.
But classes have generally been smaller than 25, anyway, Kelly Thompson, assistant superintendent of schools, said.
