Police Report: Jan. 4

THEFT

• A 19-year-old Wind Lake woman was arrested for taking three pairs of earrings with a total value of $50 from Kohl's, W15388 Janesville Road, at 11 a.m. Dec. 24. She took the tags off of the items and put them in her pocket before being stopped by a store employee.

• A bronze blue heron lawn ornament valued at $200 was taken from a residence in the South 7500 block of Fairfield Drive on Dec. 20. Local scrap yards have been alerted concerning the ornament.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

• A 47-year-old Muskego man was arrested for drunken driving in the West 18700 block of Woods Road at 3:01 a.m. Jan. 1 following a traffic stop. He had a blood-alcohol content of 0.15.

ACCIDENTS

• A vehicle slid through the intersection of Woods and Janesville roads at 5:18 p.m. Dec. 23, striking another car and getting struck by another before driving off in a hit-and-run accident. The vehicle was described as a dark sport utility vehicle.

• A 37-year-old Milwaukee man reported damage to the driver's side door and mirror of his car parked in the South 10400 block of Valerie Drive in an apparent hit-and-run accident Dec. 25.

VANDALISM

• A 19-year-old Muskego man was arrested for cutting off an 18-year-old driver near Woods Road and Durham Drive and smashing the passenger's side mirror off of the 18-year-old's vehicle Dec. 20. The 19-year-old had complained of verbal harassment by the 18-year-old Muskego man to police the day before, and followed the car for several blocks before heading it off and committing the crime. The 19-year-old denied smashing the car but left phone and text messages describing the crime to a friend.

OTHER

• A 19-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for obstructing an officer in the South 7800 block of Racine Avenue after giving police a fake name and date of birth following a traffic stop Dec. 31. The man was avoiding unpaid parking tickets.

• A 17-year-old West Allis boy was arrested for disorderly conduct in the South 7800 block of Seafarer Pass after he tried to leave an underage drinking party at the same address. The boy attempted to push through officers after they arrived at the party and was later transported to Waukesha Memorial Hospital due to his extreme intoxication. He had a BAC of 0.32 and was also cited for underage consumption.
