Candidate forum scheduled for March

A candidate forum for both Muskego school and municipal candidates will be held March 11 at the Muskego City Hall, S8200 Racine Ave.

The Muskego-Norway School Board forum for the three candidates seeking two spots on the board will be from 5:45 to 7:15 p.m. and is sponsored by the Muskego Woman's Club.

The aldermanic portion of the forum will be held from 7:30 to 9 p.m. and will be sponsored by the Muskego Area Chamber of Commerce.

All candidates running in the April 6 spring election have been invited to the forum.

The School Board candidates are incumbents Brett Hyde and Rick Petfalski and challenger Stuart Scholz.

Aldermanic candidates for District 1 are incumbent Tracy Snead; for District 3 are incumbent Neil E. Borgman and Larry Lefebvre; for District 5 are incumbent Bill Schneider and Daniel Soltysiak.

The facilitator, Britt Hall of Waukesha County Technical College, will allow each candidate a three-minute opening statement followed by some general questions and then open the forums up for audience questions. Each candidate will also be allowed a two-minute closing statement.

Questions will be accepted from individuals in attendance or by phone by calling (262) 679-4158 during the live broadcast on March 11 on local access channel 25.
