Police Report: Feb. 1

BURGLARY

• A 46-year-old Wind Lake man and owner of Countryside Corp, a landscaping and plowing company, reported more than 100 tools valued at $6,000 taken from a storage area in the South 7900 block of Durham Drive on Jan. 26. The door was inadvertently left unlocked.

• Two saws, a power generator, and other assorted tools with a total value of $10,700 were taken from a construction trailer parked at St. Paul's Church, W14325 Janesville Road, on Jan. 29. The lock to the trailer was cut and removed.

THEFT

• Several DVDs valued at $200 were taken from Blockbuster, W16890 Janesville Road, at 11:50 p.m. Jan. 22. Witnesses saw a large man in his late-20s exit the store through a fire exit with 10-15 DVDs before fleeing in a waiting Acura.

• Police are investigating a string of six to eight vehicle break-ins during the early morning hours of Jan. 28, including several in the Greenhaven Court and Plum Creek Boulevard area. Two global positioning systems and loose cash and change were taken in the break-ins.

DRUG POSSESSION

• An 18-year-old Muskego man was arrested for drug and paraphernalia possession after police found 2.4 grams of marijuana and a glass pipe in his vehicle in the West 13700 block of Fleetwood Road at 9:33 p.m. Jan. 24. He was also cited for operating a vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance.

• A 16-year-old Muskego boy was arrested for drug possession after police found 0.8 grams of marijuana in his pants pocket while parked at Denoon Park, S10798 Crowbar Drive, at 7 p.m. Jan. 29. Police saw the suspicious vehicle sitting in the lot and later found the drugs on the boy following a search.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

• A 61-year-old Muskego woman was arrested for drunken driving in the West 16500 block of Janesville Road after driving her car into a ditch at 7:07 p.m. Jan. 29. She had a blood-alcohol content of 0.31.

• A 20-year-old Muskego man was arrested for drunken driving in the West 19000 block of Kenwood Drive after hitting a residential mailbox with his car at 8:39 p.m. Jan. 31. He had a BAC of 0.11.

VANDALISM

• A letter with racially motivated remarks was left on the main door at Terra Firma Landscaping, W14427 Janesville Road prior to 7:30 a.m. Jan. 14. A second, nearly identical letter was left on a window at the Tess Corners Fire Station, S8150 Racine Ave., on Jan. 23.

OTHER

• A 40-year-old Milwaukee woman was cited for disorderly conduct after yelling and threatening a co-worker, a 40-year-old Muskego woman, at the Muskego Health Care Center, W18690 Janesville Road at 1:30 a.m. Jan. 25. A work dispute led to the woman making derogatory remarks that reportedly woke up patients before she asked her co-worker to "take it outside." She was subsequently asked to leave the center and cited for her offense.
