Why should people vote for you?
Our family has lived in Muskego for 34 years. Our children were raised in this community, which we call home. We love this area and have no plans to leave. We want to see Muskego preserve its heritage as it grows and develops in the years ahead. There are many important projects and issues facing the city and I will ensure properrty tax dollars are used prudently. With my technical, financial and management background, I will gather all the facts and information, so projects can be scrutinized to make the best decision for the sake of Muskego's residents.
What is the biggest issue facing the city and how would you deal with it?
After the recent Common Council vote approving the lake park purchase, many residents would agree this is the biggest issue facing the city, along with the impending referendum and the possibility of recalls. But I feel this is just a symptom of a different problem, one being the absence of information reaching the citizens before a final vote is taken on an agenda item. Communication, information and transparency early on in the planning stages need to be improved. Residents need to be aware, so that they can become involved early on, to keep them from feeling disenfranchised in the end.

Why should people vote for you?
I have had an excellent record over the past six years of fiscal responsibility. I have assisted in budget development in the city which has kept taxes low and has continued to keep the services everyone likes. I have assisted in re-evaluating, restructuring and redefining our government employees to make things more efficient and cost-effective at City Hall. I helped the two volunteer fire departments merge into one, saving the city thousands of dollars yearly. I listen to my constituents and try hard to assist them. I call people back in a timely manner and research the decisions I make.
What is the biggest issue facing the city and how would you deal with it?
The biggest issues in my district are flooding and the Tess Corners Road reconstruction. I am working with staff to make sure road reconstruction meets the needs of constituents. Sewer work was already done at Cornell Drive to help with flooding. We are now examining how to deal with Tess Corners Creek flooding and plan to work with the new county supervisor on drainage problems coming from Janesville Road. As for the new park, the biggest challenge is to get out the correct information. The area will become Muskego's epicenter, spurring economic development and beginning to define a downtown.

I will create a refreshing and long overdue change with better representation as an alderman in Muskego. My commitment is to do everything possible to make our community a better place to live. I will listen to the residents of Muskego and I will not be afraid to speak out for what is important to them. My knowledge and experience will benefit Muskego with a realistic vision for the future. As an honest, dependable, hard-working family man, I think that it is time for the voter to be heard. As alderman, I will make sure you have a voice.
What is the biggest issue facing the city and how would you deal with it?
Number 1 is spending. I believe elected officials have a responsibility to completely inform the voters/taxpayers. If the government wants to spend tax dollars on a project then the elected officials should be obligated to provide all the information before moving forward. Take the Bring Back The Lake Project. I believe that the voters/taxpayers should have a right to a referendum. Muskego should be looking at lowering and controlling taxes not over-spending. Another issue facing Muskego is small business growth and Parkland Mall.. My plan is simple, review all the facts, listen to the community and make common sense decisions.
