A frustrating losing streak came to an end for the Muskego boys basketball team on Friday night against Catholic Memorial.
The Warriors toppled the Crusaders 78-70 to post their first Classic 8 Conference victory of the season.
They placed four players in double figures. Turner Kehoe led the way with 19 points, connecting on 10 of 10 free throws, while Mike Vidmar put in 16 points, Cal Schultz 14 points and Brandon Glandt 13 points.
The game was tied at 32 at the half, then Muskego edged ahead by eight at 48-40 after three quarters. Both teams tallied 30 points in the final period as the Warriors held on to win.
The triumph snapped a four-game losing streak for Muskego, all in conference play, with three of the losses coming by 10 or fewer points.
That included a 52-51 setback at the hands of Waukesha North on Dec. 17.
In that game, Kehoe scored 18 points and Vidmar 17, but they were the only two players in double figures.
Muskego went to 1-4 in Classic 8 play and 3-5 overall.
The Warriors take part in the New Berlin West Tournament this week. They meet Slinger at 4:15 p.m. Friday and West Allis Hale at 2:45 p.m. Saturday.
Their next conference contest is Jan. 7 at Arrowhead.
