Impact set youth baseball camp
The Muskego Impact Land O' Lakes Baseball League team, will host its second annual baseball skills camp for children between the ages of 7 and 15.
The two-day camp will be held Saturdays, May 9 and 16, at Horn Field in Muskego. The cost is $30 per child. Registrations will be accepted through Saturday, May 9.
The camp will focus on fundamentals, improved performance and confidence. Children ages 7 through 10 will attend from 9 a.m. to noon, and those ages 11 through 15 will attend from 1 to 4 p.m. Each age group will be limited to the first 50 individuals who sign up.
"This camp is a big step for the Muskego Impact for a couple different reasons," Impact player Chad Henneberry said. "First, it allows our team to raise money for game-day expenses and improvements to Horn Field, and second it will increase the community's awareness of our team, as many people in Muskego don't even know they have a semi-pro baseball team.
"But most importantly, it allows each of our players the opportunity to give back to the local youth baseball leagues where many of us learned how to play the game ourselves. It's a reasonably priced camp, and the children are going to be getting instruction from adults who have excelled at, and are still active within the game."
