The Lions' first-quarter dominance continued in a 48-27 home win over South Milwaukee on Friday that kept Eisenhower in a first-place tie with Whitnall in the Woodland Conference Black Division.

Bennett Hasseldeck's 7-yard touchdown run and Ian McKechnie's 11-yard touchdown catch from Brian York gave the Lions a 14-0 lead after one quarter. Eisenhower (6-1 overall, 5-1 conference) has outscored its opponents, 59-9, in the first quarter this season.

McKechnie and York connected twice more later, including a 94-yard touchdown play that gave Eisenhower a commanding 34-7 lead late in the third quarter.

Tyler Faber scored two touchdowns on the ground and Brandon Keto returned a fumble 10 yards for a score for the Lions, who play host to winless Greenfield (0-7, 0-6) on Friday before closing the season at Brown Deer (6-1, 5-1) at 7 p.m. Oct. 21.

The Warriors overcame 14 service errors Oct. 8 and did just enough to beat Southeast Conference rival Oak Creek in five games, 22-25, 25-10, 25-19, 17-25, 15-9, to clinch their second straight conference title.

Oak Creek (24-12, 5-2 Southeast) played its best in the first game. The Knights came out fired up and led by five three times: 12-7, 17-12, and 21-16. The Warriors (30-4, 6-0) rallied and got to 23-22, but Oak Creek finished strong for the game win.

Muskego bounced back in a big way in the second game, a 25-10 win, and then won the third game thanks to Rachel Neuberger's seven kills.

Oak Creek did not go away however. The Knights raced to a 5-0 lead, then led, 10-3, in the fourth game en route to a 25-17 victory, setting up the decisive fifth game in which Neuberger recorded her 18th kill of the match.
