Pumas baseball team holding tryouts Aug. 7
The New Berlin Pumas will hold tryouts for their U12 Select 2011 baseball team at Buena Park West Diamond from 1 to 3 p.mAug. 7. The rain date is Aug. 8. The park is at 1700 S. 165th St.

New Berlin Magic baseball tryout dates slated
The New Berlin Magic boys baseball program has established its tryout schedule.
On July 31, at Lions Park, tryouts are as follows: U8 - sign-in at 7:30 a.m.; tryouts at 8 a.m.; U9 - sign-in at 9:30 a.m.; tryouts at 10 a.m.; U10 - sign-in at 11:30 a.m.; tryouts at noon; U12 - sign-in at 1:30 p.m.; tryouts at 2 p.m.

Tryouts for the U13 team will be held at 1:15 p.m. (1 p.m. sign-up) Aug. 8 at Valley View Park.

Jr. Crusader baseball program announces tryout schedule
The Waukesha Jr. Crusader baseball tryouts are at Catholic Memorial High School on July 31.
Tryouts for the U9 and U12 teams start at 8:30 a.m.; tryouts for the U10 and U13 teams start at 10:30 a.m.; and tryouts for the U11 and U14 teams start at 12:30 p.m.

RAP hoops sessions set for this summer in Muskego
Applications are now being taken for summer sessions of the basketball Rapid Acceleration Program, which is designed to bolster development of fundamental skills needed to play at an elite level.
Personalized training sessions encourage self-discipline, fitness and a positive attitude. The program complements work done by high school and league team coaches. Sessions are held at St. Paul Lutheran School in Muskego.

College coaches expected to attend baseball camp
Hitters Baseball Academy, 4726 Six Mile Road, Racine, will be holding an instructional/exposure camp Aug. 2-6 for ages 14-18 and Aug. 9-11 for ages 9-13.
Coaches from the following colleges are expected to attend the camp: University of Kentucky, Virginia Tech, Central Michigan, Northern Illinois, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Western Kentucky, UW-Parkside, Carthage College, Madison College, Illinois State and West Point Military Academy.
This camp offers a unique opportunity to work one-on-one with coaches from those colleges.
The cost is $375 for 14-18-year-olds and $275 for 9-13-year-olds.
