New Berlin West's Wisniewski in final season at Edgewood
Former New Berlin West basketball player Ben Wisniewski is in his final season at Madison Edgewood.
Wisniewski, a first-team Northern Athletic Conference selection, led the team with an average of 16.1 points per game, ranking him sixth in the NAC, as the Eagles came up one game short of an automatic bid in the post-season tournament.
The Eagles went 18-10 overall and posted a 12-4 mark in the NAC's North Division last year, earning the fourth seed in the NAC Tournament. After winning the quarterfinal game, they had to travel to 21st ranked and No. 1 seed Concordia University Wisconsin.
Edgewood earned the upset victory, but fell short in the championship game the next night, dropping a 70-59 decision at Benedictine University.
Head coach Todd Adrian returns four starters and 77 percent of the Eagles' scoring from a season ago.
