St. John's Mukwonago Waives Kindergarten Tuition

February 3, 2010

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Kindergarten Tuition Waived at St. John's, Mukwonago

School Board says the time is right; test scores high

Mukwonago, Wis.--On Thursday, Jan. 7, 2010, the School Board representing St. John's Evangelical Lutheran School, located at 410 Highway NN West, Mukwonago, voted to waive tuition for its half-day kindergarten program. The Board made the unanimous decision after considering several factors that included the current economic climate for local families and as a celebration of the recent completion of the new church facility.

“Providing increased opportunities to families who value private education is key. The timing couldn't be better," says Greg Heinz, member of the school board. “Offering Christian-based education with opportunities for children to develop intellectually, physically and spiritually is paramount with St. John’s recent student test score results surpassing that of all local area schools.”

For the 2010-11 school term, the school will waive the enrollment fee for its half-day kindergarten classes starting this fall. Space in the kindergarten class is very limited due to St. John's low teacher-student ratio. "This is a great value," says Heinz, "we encourage families to contact us quickly." An Open House, open to all families, is scheduled for Feb. 20 from 5p-7p.

For St. John's enrollment information and to schedule a tour of the school campus, please contact Paula at 262-363-4999 or visit www.stjohnslutheran-muk.org. Once the kindergarten enrollment is filled, the school will create waiting-list options for families who are interested in the free kindergarten tuition offer. Tuition rates for the school's pre-school and Christian day school remain in place.

St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church has been a part of the Mukwonago community for more than 100 years and the school has been in existence since the 1970s. A new state-of-the-art school facility was built in 2001, and it offers pre-school and grade K-8 education. Smartboards were also installed in classrooms in 2009.

St. John's offers exactly what works in today's educational environment! Contact St. John's to see its impressive testing results, take a tour or attend the Open House on Feb. 20. See what St. Johns Lutheran School has to offer you and your family.
